Fatelink is proud to announce that Hunter Lee Hughes will write and direct its new theater piece – “Nathaniel Quinn, Filmmaker.”
Hunter is best known for writing and directing “Guys Reading Poems”, which was released by Gravitas Ventures in February, 2018.
The piece explores a filmmaker overcoming grief through his imagination and includes meta elements. The lead character Nathaniel Quinn, like Hunter, directed just one feature film before returning to performance art pieces in intimate theater spaces.
“After years of navigating the complex system of financing, producing and distributing an independent film, I’m extremely grateful to return to my theater roots. The process is so refreshing – a feeling of creating for the sake of creating – something I’ve deeply needed. I’ve layered that need into the character of Nathaniel, so hopefully we are painting an accurate, insightful portrait of a man seeking retreat, but also renewal.”
The piece is co-produced by Highways Performance Space.
